The fastest means of transport are aircraft, which are the vehicles used in air transportation. They are able to fly through the air and they do this by countering gravitational force either by upthrust or by using the dynamic lift of an airfoil. Sometimes, some aircraft are designed to use downward thrust from jet engines.
